On Sunday, August 2nd, in the Magnolia Building in Lakeland, FL the 2nd annual Zoe Beautee Awards & Annual Charity Fashion Show will bring together hundreds to celebrate Haitian-American talents and raise funds for a deserving non-profit organization.
Hosted by Haitian-Americans Jessica Woo and Maxon Victo, this event hope to uplift the community and also showcase the different talents of the Caribbean.
ZOE BEAUTEE is the brainchild of Haitian American designer Carline Smothers. Carline’s line focuses on expressing beauty through language. Zoe Beautee is the creator of the Fashionable Bel Fanm (beautiful woman) and ZOE PROUD (proud to be Haitian) t-shirts.
Proceeds generated by the event will be distributed to two Haitian owned and created non-profit organizations. Help Us Save Us , an Organization in Haiti and Voice the Movement, which strives to improve the quality of life through health, education, the arts & entertainment, and technology.
For the awards part of the event, there are eight categories where nominees were selected and voted for by the general public. The winners will be rewarded in the following categories: Favorite Haitian Music Video, Male Rapper/Singer, Female Rapper/Singer, Comedian, Artist, Athlete, Humanitarian, and Band.
Attendees of the event will include D.J. (Waly Mix), designers, models (Masline, Etta, Miche, Tree, Greg, Tariq performers (Haitian Cultural Club Dance Troupe, LaVie, Weezy and Band, KOWKOW), glam squad (Platinum Hair By Merlande, Uniquely Che-Che MUA, Next Level Beauty MUA, YS+Co. Stylist), and caterer (Mirlene Clecidor).
