A week ago, 25-year-old restaurant owner Carolyn Desert was crowned our 2014 Miss Haiti at the Karibe hotel convention center in Petion-ville, Haiti. The pageant which was hosted by Haitian actor Jimmy Jean-Louis was a full house but it wasn’t televised, I hope we can change that soon. Haitians all over the world kept up with the pageant though live streams and social network update and pictures.
