Few weeks ago I attended the third edition of Haiti Fashion Week (HFW) at the Karibe Hotel Convention Center in Petion-Ville, Haiti held from October 31st through November 2nd. This year’s theme focuses on the important linkages between fashion and heritage.

Founded by Haitian American Ciano Clerjuste, United Colors of Fashion Inc. (UCOF) Academy is a New York City based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing fashion-focused education, mentorship and counseling, internship opportunities, entrepreneurial development and scholarships to under resourced youth in New York City. Under our UCOF Academy Educates: STAND, these youth are afforded opportunities to pursue their fashion careers free of charge to them.
