On April 30th, Miss Universe Haiti Raquel Pelissier will host a private press briefing at the Hotel Habitation Jouissant in Cap-Haitien on Sunday, April 30 at 7pm as she welcomes Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere to Haiti for the first time. Both Miss Universe and Miss Universe Runner up will be discussing their new partnership with Smile Train, the world’s largest cleft charity.
While in Haiti, Iris Mittenaere will be visiting Smile Train’s local partners to learn more about the organization’s sustainable model and to meet with some of the doctors who are on the ground helping cleft patients 365 days a year.
This visit is part of a larger partnership between Smile Train and The Miss Universe Organization, since January 2016, to provide opportunities for the reigning Miss Universe, international and state title holders to get involved with Smile Train’s global initiatives in the 85+ countries where the charity has helped children born with cleft lips and/or palates.
The press briefing is not open to the public, to attend please RSVP to Nijha Diggs at ndiggs@smiletrain.org.
