On Saturday, October 25th, in Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, the fifth edition of Miss Grand International will take place at Vinpearl Resort & Villas, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam. More than 90 countries are expected to compete for the title. At the conclusion of the pageant, Ariska Putri Pertiwi from Indonesia will pass on her crown to her successor. The winner of the Miss Grand International 2017 pageant will be staying in Thailand for a period of one year to carry out anti-war missions.
The contestants started arriving in Vietnam the first week of October. Jennifer Alexis, Miss Grand International Haiti 2017 will represent Haiti during the pageant. Upon her arrival in Vietnam, Alexis was welcomed by the Embassy of the Republic of Haiti in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Miss Grand International Haïti in all her splendor proudly defended Haiti national colors at the welcome ceremony held Saturday, October 7th, in a beautiful designed dress by Haitian designer Jovana Benoit. Benoit is the wife of the Ambassador of Haiti in Vietnam, Jean Lesly Benoit.
Jennifer Alexis is a student from Haiti, she’s 24 and studying marketing and public relations. Her hobby is reading and she said her hopes is to fight for a better educational system so that the youth of my country, Haiti, can get the best education available
The grand finale of the pageant will be hosted by former Miss Grand Philippines, Nicole Cordoves, who was also the first runner up at Miss Grand International 2016 along with Xian Lim.
