Haitian DJ and producer Michael Brun has officially announced Bayo 2025, his first-ever arena show, set to take place at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on June 28th. This highly anticipated event is deeply personal for Brun, as it fulfills a promise he made to his late mother, Sharon Brun, who passed away in December.
In an emotional tribute on social media, Brun shared: “Dear Mom, we’re finally doing that arena we always talked about. Miss you. Love, Michael.” He also added in his announcement caption: “Promised my mom we’d do an arena one day. This show is in her honor. Can’t wait to see you all on June 28th.”
Since launching the Bayo Tour, it has become a cultural phenomenon, bringing Haitian music to major cities worldwide. What started as an intimate celebration of Haitian sounds has evolved into a global movement, blending kompa, rara, Afrobeats, reggaeton, and electronic music into one electrifying experience.
Over the years, Bayo has featured an impressive lineup of Haitian and international artists, including Oxlade, Maxwell, J Balvin, Mr. Eazi, Wyclef Jean, J. Perry, Troubleboy Himaker, Baky, Anie Alerte, TonyMix, AndyBeatz, the late Mikaben, Paul Braubrun, and many others. Fans can expect a star-studded lineup, surprise guests, and an immersive celebration of Haitian culture at Bayo 2025.
With Barclays Center as the venue, Bayo 2025 is set to be Brun’s largest production yet. This milestone performance will be filled with music, love, and a tribute to his mother’s legacy. Who do you want to see on this year’s lineup? Share your dream guest artists in the comments!
