Lori was born in the United States and moved to Haiti as a child where she attended Union School in Petion-ville. She is the recipient of the prestigious President’s Education Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement (awarded by President George W. Bush). In 2001, she received an appointment to the United States Military Academy Preparatory School & The United States Military Academy-West Point and became the first female to receive an appointment to join the “Long Grey Line” from Haiti.
In her two-year tenure at West Point she received a National Defense Service Medal & an Honorable Discharge. In 2008 she graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Miami, and have found her niche as a private, yacht, and catering chef. Lori has traveled throughout the United States, Caribbean, Morocco, Switzerland, Italy, and France for work. Since graduating from Le Cordon Bleu, she’s had the opportunity to work with establishments such as a stage (training program) at Chesa Veglia & Badrutt’s Palace in St. Moritz, Switzerland, Yacht Chef on M/Y Bibich in the Mediterranean, Executive Chef at Myra & Company Café in Miami, FL, Garde Manger Chef at Galley Beach Restaurant in Nantucket, MA & Café L’Europe in Palm Beach.
Lori currently travel and work seasonally at catering companies and private chef in South Florida & Cape Cod.
