Congratulations to James Marcelin of Carolina Railhawks who scores Haiti’s first ever Copa America goal.
Marcelin’s 70th-minute goal brought Haiti within 5-1 at the time, and Brazil went on to win 7-1, on the strength of Philippe Coutinho’s hat trick and Renato Augusto’s two goals. But beyond the result is Haiti’s achievement of scoring on the five-time World Cup champions and getting on the board in Copa America action for the first time. The pro-Haiti fans at Orlando’s Camping World Stadium exploded with enthusiasm after the goal, on which Marcelin followed up a saved shot and blasted it into the net. – Source
