Haitian designer Jovana Benoit, who is the wife of Haitian ambassador to Vietnam, launched her fashion collection to great fanfare in Hanoi to close-out Vietnam International Fashion Week (VIFW) Fall/Winter 2018.
The 29 piece fashion collection “Sound of Summer” is an impressive combination and array of colors that left a fresh and dynamic impression on attendees and onlookers.
Many celebrities modeled the fashion collection “Sound of Summer” including Miss Vietnam Ethnic runner-up Truong Thi May (L) and the first runner-up of Miss Universe 2016 Raquel Pelissier (R).
Jovana started in fashion at a very young age back in Haiti working with some of her family members, sewing and knitting. The Brand was a dream come true after many years of developing her craft and unique style.
Jovana clothes are made to contour a woman’s body and known for their exceptional quality and attention to detail. The designs have a blend of French, Asian and Caribbean cultures.
On September 10, Jovana inaugurated her first boutique in Vietnam under the brand Jovana Louis, at No. 9, Le Ngoc Han Street, in Hanoi. Jovana Louis, which was named after the designer’s maiden name, features all of the designs by Jovana that is her whole life passion:
“I was born for fashion. Everything I do is all about fashion. Even when I have problems, I seek fashion designs to make me beautiful, make myself elegant.” Jovana Louis’ designs are not just casual outfits but are vital energy sources for women to be more radiant and for those looking to be elegant and confident.
Jovana admitted that she was inspired by the French, Haitian and Asian cultures. That is the reason why her designs have the warm colors of the Caribbean in her hometown, the elegance of Paris and the typical cuts of Asia and Vietnam. She’s planning to follow with stores in U.S., Europe, Middle East and other countries in Asia in the near future.
