I want to thank the @WhiteHouse staff for having me present opening remarks at The Champions of Change event. It is with great pleasure and honor that I stood amongst some of the nation’s most ambitious young women.
As a young girl, who grew up in Elizabeth, New Jersey, I was unsure of how a fascination for the internet would allow me to lead a life filled with endless possibilities. Starting my career, I was full of nervousness and doubt; nonetheless courage overpowered all my emotions. In a society that wanted me to be anything, I chose to be myself.
