Delta Air Lines Plane Crash Lands Upside Down at Toronto Pearson Airport, Injuring Multiple Passengers

A Delta Air Lines flight arriving from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport crashed and landed upside down at Toronto Pearson Airport on Monday afternoon, leaving multiple passengers injured.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), all 80 passengers aboard Flight 4819, operated by Endeavor Air, were safely evacuated. Peel Regional Paramedic Services confirmed that 15 people were transported to the hospital, including one child and two adults in critical condition. The remaining injuries ranged from minor to moderate.

The crash occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. CST. Delta Air Lines issued a statement confirming the single-aircraft accident and emphasizing its commitment to supporting those affected. “Initial reports indicate no fatalities. Several customers with injuries were transported to area hospitals. Our primary focus is taking care of those impacted,” the airline stated.

The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA also acknowledged the incident, confirming that crew members were on board and urging the public to refrain from speculation as authorities investigate the crash.

This accident follows a series of recent aviation tragedies, including a fatal mid-air collision between an American Airlines plane and an Army Black Hawk helicopter at Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., and a medical jet crash in Philadelphia that claimed seven lives.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash. Further updates will follow as more information becomes available.
