According to Haitian Music Blog Kompamagazine.com this is the official statement from Carimi’s manager Fito Farinen on Mikael’s Guirand sudden decision to part ways with Carimi after 14 years. Mickeal sent out a statement this morning stating he was quitting the band effective immediately.
I know that many of our fans and friends might be concerned about CaRiMi, right now but our focus is on supporting Mickael and his decision to take a break for now.
We understand that Mickael needs a break and as a family we are here to support him. Nothing is indefinite and nothing is final right now. As a team we are taking a moment to regroup and as far as our fans are concerned we will be coming out with more details soon.
