April 2014 Miss/Mrs. Haiti International & Miss Teen Haiti Competitions in Evanston Illinois

Hermanie Pierre, Miss Haiti International 2012, has been tapped by the organizers for Miss/Mrs. Haiti International and Miss Teen Haiti to direct the competitions for the upcoming pageant productions in April 2014 taking place in Evanston, IL at Dawes Elementary School (440 Dodge Ave, Evanston IL 60202) on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 6pm. The list of performers and guests include legendary singer Emeline Michel comedian and actor Sifrael, Mrs International 2013 Amy Gregorio, Mrs International 2000 Joanne Beauvoir Brown, Mrs Europe 2012 Anastagia Wiseman, singer Jade Passion, rapper Rhino G, reggae pop singer Rooby Man, Miss Black Arkansas  Ariel MacFadden, Miss Teen Arkansas Previah White, General Consul of Haiti in Chicago Lesly Conde  and many more.

Hermanie was selected as one of the top ten finalists in The Miss International 2012 and won MISS congeniality at the very same pageant. Hermanie is the 4th woman in Haiti pageant history that ever made to finalist since 1975. Hermanie says she wants to continue her work with young people and future involvement with pageants as a way to promote a positive image for Haitian communities around the US.

“I want to continue the legacy to our teens, young and married woman to promote Haiti to the positive image and help come Up with solutions for some of our issues we are having in our community and in Haiti.”

says Hermanie, who resides in Little Rock, Arkansas and at 28 is one of the youngest Civil Engineers, not to mention one of the few female and African Americans currently working on $90 million projects at Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department. The Miss Teen Haiti (ages 13-18) Miss Haiti International  and Mrs. Haiti International competitions traditionally focus on community service and platform issues of the individual contestants. The phases of competition consist of 40% personal interview and on stage question and presentation,20% fashion runway and 20% fitness in a two piece custom aerobic wear outfit, and 20%evening gown for the Miss Teen Haiti and Miss Haiti International 2014 competitions, and 50% personal interview and on stage question and presentation, 25% fitness in a two or one piece custom aerobic wear outfit, and 25% evening gown for the Mrs. Haiti International.

One of the ways Hermanie brings her own platform, “A Better Tomorrow for Today’s Children: Building A New Generation.” to life is with Leadership Through Education. This is a scholarship fund that Hermanie created with her own money to help kids, and students experiencing a hardship to pay for school in Haiti.
